🖍️ Tools For Success
- Paper (Our Free How To Draw Template PDF)
- Pencil
- Polymer Eraser
- Outline Markers
- Coloring Tools (I recommend Crayola's 140 Piece Coloring Case)
🎨 Parents:The only tools you need to use these how-to-draw tutorials are: an eraser, a pencil, and a piece of paper. But – if you have them around – a sketching pencil makes for fainter and softer lines that help kids build fine motor accuracy. I also recommend going over the sketch pencil with a black outline marker when you're done for a neater finish. Lastly, erase the pencil marks before adding color.
Step-by-Step Guide on How to Draw a Kitten
- Draw an oval face in a slanting position with triangular ears on each side for a cute kitten's head.
- Highlight the triangular ears by drawing one smaller triangle inside each.
- For the kitten's face, draw two small circular eyes parallel to each other.
- Between the eyes, draw a small inverted triangular nose with two short curved mouth lines beneath it.
- On the right side of the kitten's face, connect a line making a semi-circular body but leaving a small space to the lower part of the kitten's face.
- Then, beneath the face, draw two curved feet to fill out the space between the face and the body.
- Draw two short vertical lines on each foot to highlight the toes.
- To finally complete the details, draw an enclosed S-shaped tail on the other end of the body.
- Now the kitten's perfectly cute! You can color it according to your favorite color, but I'll color mine orange just like momma Cat!!

- One of the first things you'll notice when you look at the face of a kitten is its whiskers. Kittens are small little creatures, but the whiskers are pretty impressive.
